Difference between Climate and Weather

A lot of us tend to think that Climate and Weather are the same. I have heard some people even asking others, "How's the Climate today?" and the other party doesn't know what to say.

Well, the confusion is somehow justified as well because both the words refer to the same natural phenomena, but the different lies in their measurement time.

To put it in simple words, Climate is Weather over a long period of time, like 6 months or a year or even many years, whereas Weather is the instant phenomenon at a given hour or a day. Weather often changes frequently at many places during the day, sometimes changing every 15 minutes as well. However, on a longer average, climate doesn't change that frequently. If it changes that frequently, then it's doomsday for us.

Hence Global Warming is also referred to as Climate Change and not Weather change.

Next time when you greet someone, say "How's the Weather today?"

Cheers.

Posting from Email

It is still fun to post from Email and I am thoroughly loving this feature from Blogger. This is one example where Google makes things innovative.

And with everything going mobile on a daily basis, this makes absolute sense now.

Where have I been?

Over these years, I have been so involved with life and work, that I forgot to attend to one of my passions - writing.
I do remember having created this blog, but then I neglected it like old furniture. Now it's time to wake up again and create meaningful posts.

Do tune in people for some more updates and interesting articles/stories/reviews from me.
